Heart of Supply is recruiting Science Teachers to work across our partner schools in Newark and the surrounding areas, commencing January 2026.

About the role

This exciting opportunity offers day-to-day, short-term, and longer-term placements across local secondary schools. You'll be stepping into engaging classrooms, delivering pre-set Science lessons, and ensuring pupils continue to thrive in the absence of their regular teacher.

We're looking for motivated, adaptable educators who can quickly build positive relationships with students, maintain high standards of classroom management, and bring energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity to every lesson. Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, you'll play a vital role in keeping learning on track and inspiring a love of Science.

What you will need

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) & recent UK secondary classroom experience Strong subject knowledge & flexibility to teach across KS3 and KS4 Confident, respectful behaviour management Ability to build quick rapport with students and colleagues A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine passion for your subject At least 6 weeks' UK teaching experience (including placements)
