We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering curiosity and critical thinking. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classrooms effectively, and supporting students' academic growth through innovative teaching methods and personalized mentorship.
Duties
Design and deliver comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards from kS1 to KS 4 and GCSE across multiple disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics.
Develop and implement innovative instructional strategies utilizing learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement. .
Mentor students individually or in groups to foster academic achievement and personal development.
Participate in professional development opportunities related to science education, special education strategies, or educational administration.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents or guardians as needed.
Skills
Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines including Biology , Chemistry, and Physics.
Experience with laboratory procedures including dissection techniques and research laboratory work.
Proficiency in instructional design, lesson planning, and curriculum development tailored for diverse learners.
Familiarity with learning technology tools for virtual or hybrid instruction.
Excellent classroom management skills combined with effective communication skills for engaging students of varying abilities.
Ability to utilise standardized testing data for instructional improvement; experience in tutoring or mentoring students is advantageous.
Background in special education or Montessori methods is a plus.
Experience working with students in private school settings or within education administration is desirable.
Strong organisational skills for managing lesson plans, assessments, and educational resources such as library services. SEND training qualification level 1,2,3 preferred.
