We work with a wide range of Hampshire Local Authority, SEN, Academy, and Independent schools, supporting them with specialist Science Teachers for both short-term cover and long-term assignments. On this occasion, we are seeking an experienced Science teacher for one of our oversubscribed outer city schools to assist with a maternity cover assignment. Paid to scale.
The Role:
Deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Science lessons (specialism in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics welcome)
Follow provided lesson plans to maintain high levels of pupil engagement
Uphold each school's values and ethos
Collaborate with colleagues in the department to support student learning
For longer-term roles: plan and mark work, attend departmental meetings, and contribute to wider school life (paid to scale)
Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or at least 6 months' recent UK school teaching experience
Specialism in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics
ECTs and overseas-trained teachers welcome
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching
Commitment to fostering curiosity and a love of science
