Duke of Lancaster - Fakenham 21 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Permanent Mondays 8:45 - 15:00, Tuesdays 10:00 - 15:00, Wednesdays 10:00 - 15:30, Thursdays 8:45 - 15:00 Salary: 25,185 - 25,989 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 12,133 - 12,520 per annum
Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for a dynamic and rewarding role in a vibrant school environment? We are seeking a passionate and adaptable individual to join our team, supporting the delivery of high-quality science education across both our secondary and primary phases, while also contributing to the smooth running of our Art and Food Technology departments.

What You Will Be Doing:



Science Support

: Set up, assist with, and clear away practical experiments for secondary science lessons, with occasional support for primary science activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring lessons are engaging, safe, and inspiring for our students.

Curriculum Enrichment

: Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the science curriculum and expand STEM opportunities across the school. Your input will help shape exciting new projects, clubs, and enrichment activities that ignite curiosity and foster a love of science.

Health & Safety Champion

: Help maintain a safe and well-organised learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in science, art, and food tech rooms.

Creative Collaboration

: Support the Art and Food Technology departments with equipment maintenance, resource preparation, and general technician duties, bringing your practical skills in a variety of creative settings.

What We Are Looking For:



Experience as a Science Technician, ideally in a school setting. A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, especially around safety and equipment care. A genuine enthusiasm for science and STEM education, with a desire to make a difference in young people's learning experiences.
