NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, eg NVQ Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 In Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent

Start Date: 1st September 2025

Salary: 25,884 - 27,269 per annum

This is a great opportunity to come and work in our very highly rated secondary school in central Manchester. The Student Service Coordinator supports students' academic and personal success through responsive and helpful service to students, colleagues and parents, alongside running the organisation of a number of in school and after school events.

About the Candidate

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

A science background with laboratory experience as a science technician;

NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, eg NVQ Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 In Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent;

Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQF Level 2, with excellent IT skills;

Good communication, written and interpersonal skills are vital for this role;

Confidence to prepare chemicals and safely set up a range of science experiments;

Knowledge of safe working practices, Health & Safety legislation & COSHH, CLEAPSS & ESCC regulations;

Well organised and professional with a flexible and positive approach to all aspects and areas of your work;

Ability to work independently, responding to tight deadlines, prioritising work whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals and complete projects within timescales;

Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record.
