The Role







We're looking for a part-time dynamic

Scientific

Marketing Executive

,


with a cell-biology or biotechnology background to join our growing sales & marketing team. You'll lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact science-based marketing campaigns that engage scientific audiences, elevate our brand, and communicate complex scientific concepts with clarity and credibility.





You'll work with the research and manufacturing teams within Extracellular to understand the research activities underway at the business, along with understanding the most pertinent technical challenges in the industry, and leverage these insights to develop thought-leadership to publicise to the cell-cultivated product industry.

This is a part-time role, likely 1-2 days a week to commence, with the opportunity to scale-up hours dependant on business need and performance. A hybrid working role is available, with the ability to come to Bristol when available.




Role accountabilities



Translate complex biotech and life sciences topics into accessible, engaging content relevant for our industries--without losing the science. Work closely with internal scientific, commercial and visual designers to publish research developed at Extracellular, as well as create accurate and compelling thought-leadership. Understand market trends and challenges within the cell-based product market (whether in food, cosmetics or materials), and develop engaging insights for thought-leadership. Plan, manage, and deliver digital marketing campaigns across channels with a digital marketer (website, social media, email etc), tailored to scientific and technical audiences. Act as lead on marketing content creation, ensuring timely execution, budget control and measurable outcomes. Monitor and report on campaign performance (content, channels, engagement, conversion etc.) and use insights to optimise future activity. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific industry trends, digital platforms, and communication best practices. Ensure scientific and industry relevant content are made available across all marketing outputs, collaborating with cross functional teams as needed.



The Candidate Profile






Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 5-10+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotechnology, cell-biology, or other related industries, 2+ years of experience in scientific communication roles ideally in food technology, cosmetics technology or life sciences. You will have a good understanding of cell biology and bioprocessing principles. A background or strong interest in science--degree in biology, R&D, biotechnology or a related field preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to simplify and clarify technical content. A deep understanding of the cell-based product markets we serve, across animal and plant cell cultured food, cosmetics and materials. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once. A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach--willing to execute and optimise as you go.
