Position: Scientific Officer
EO2 Pay Rate: 16.45 per hour
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Cookstown
Length of Contract: 9-12 Months

Hours of Work: 9 to 5 Monday to Friday
Job Duties:
- Assist in the management of NI's Hydrometric Network.
- Analysis of historical data to aid understanding of river trends to assist in flood risk expertise.
- Manage and update the Rivers historical river level and flow database.
- Carry out a targeted gauging programme to review rating curves.
- Deliver hydrometric station upgrade works programme, including new sites and the management of internal and external contractors.
- Respond to data requests.
- Assist in stakeholder data reviews.
- Work as part of a team
Essential Criteria:
Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English and 2 A levels in separate subjects (must be able to show certificates)
*The successful applicant will be required to complete an Access NI during registration*
