Bradford District Care Foundation Trust (BDCFT) Family Health Services are looking for qualified Health Visitors with the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification, who are innovative, forward thinking and passionate about making a difference for children, young people and their families.
We are part of the 0-19 integrated team whose service is evolving and currently undergoing some exciting service changes and progression, focusing on integrated working with local authority partners and a whole team approach to providing early support to children and young people living within the Bradford and Airedale district. We are pro-active public health practitioners who work closely with children and families to support them in making healthy lifestyle choices and accessing other specialist services to meet their health needs. We are committed to the delivery of the Healthy Child Program and ensuring our service delivery is of high quality and research based.
We are looking for motivated Health Visitors who are solution focused and adaptable to change and able to work both autonomously and part of an integrated skill mix team. You will possess good leadership and organisational skills and be able to support others with decision making and caseload management. You will be able to form good working relationships with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and possess excellent communication skills.
The Health Visiting service in the Bradford District is involved in several new projects to support the public health agenda both with our local authority partnerships and with Public Health England. In Bradford we also work with The Better Start Bradford Program. Better Start Bradford works with expectant families and families with children aged 0-3 to help give children the best possible start in life as highlighted in the 1001 Critical Days agenda. The MESCH program has developed and commissioned a range of innovative projects to address the themes of a child's social and emotional development, language and communication and health and nutrition. These projects are evaluated by the Innovation Hub, linking to Born in Bradford, and the learning disseminated across the Bradford area.
