SCR Interface Specialist

Main duties, tasks & skills required

As the SCR Interface Specialist, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SCR interfaces using healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR. This role combines hands-on technical work with cloud technologies like Azure Health Data Services, alongside collaboration with internal teams and external healthcare partners.
You'll take a key role in performance analysis, support customer migrations to the cloud, and help shape future integration strategies. From working with .NET and SQL Server to driving interface development through agile sprints, you'll ensure SCR systems deliver secure, robust, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and support of SCR interfaces using HL7, FHIR, Azure, and .NET technologies.
Review and optimise system performance using Azure dashboards.
Collaborate with clinicians, analysts, developers, and national bodies.
Provide third-line technical support and lead technical discussions with customers.
Create detailed technical specifications and support test and release processes.
Support knowledge transfer across SCR teams.

At least 3 years practical experience of designing, developing and implementing robust HL7 interfaces
Proven experience of implementing medium to large scale web-based software applications, driven by relational databases
Practical experience of systems analysis including scoping software solutions, designing data flows using industry standard tools and producing high quality technical specifications which have led to successful developments
Experience of documentation and reports, using a variety of information sources
Ability to demonstrate experience of managing integration projects through to successful implementation and business as usual
Good working knowledge of Integration engines and interfacing technology, HL7 & FHIR Messaging formats, MS SQL Server, MS Visual Studio, Web based technologies such as WCF Web Services, Rest Services and APIs
