Salary:

The base salary for this position is 49,500 - 54,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday in-office, Friday remote.

We're looking for a talented

Scriptwriter

to join Wayfair's dynamic Verified Video team, helping revolutionise online media for retail. In this role, you'll craft engaging, informative 60-second scripts that bring our products to life--from sofas and accent chairs to patio sets, vanities, and dining furniture. You'll transform product details and AI-generated drafts into compelling narratives that build customer confidence and elevate the online shopping experience.

What you will do

Scriptwriting & Storytelling

Develop compelling, concise scripts that resonate with our audience and highlight Wayfair's product quality and value. Adapt tone and style across diverse product categories.

Content Development & Research

Review product details and data sources to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and customer-focused. Understand and showcase the unique features and selling points of each product type.

Collaboration & Production Alignment

Work closely with the video production team to align creative direction with production requirements. Continuously explore new approaches to enhance video content and engagement.

Quality Control

Review and quality check produced videos to ensure scripts translate effectively into visual storytelling. Guarantee content provides customers with a meaningful, confidence-building shopping experience.

Who you will be

A creative and detail-oriented copywriter who thrives on transforming product information into engaging stories. You balance creativity with accuracy, adapt easily to different categories, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you will have

Essential

Proven experience in copywriting, ideally for digital platforms. Strong creative writing skills with adaptability across tones and categories. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.

Desirable

Familiarity with video production processes and how scripts translate into visuals.
