Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for sewing and altering garments and other textile products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sewing skills and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Perform garment alterations, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and repairing tears or damages
- Sew garments from scratch based on patterns and specifications
- Operate sewing machines and other tools necessary for garment construction and alterations
- Ensure all finished products meet quality standards
- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand their specific needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Proficient in sewing techniques, including hand stitching, machine sewing, and garment construction
- Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their properties
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and stitching
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to 15.00 per hour
