The Trading Rooms, The Piece Hall, are looking to employ a Kitchen Porter on a casual basis over the festive period. We are looking for someone to support our established kitchen team Thursdays to Sundays in preparing food for the busy restaurant and our multi-use function suite - the Caygill Suite.

Reporting to the Head Chef and other senior chefs, the position will include providing excellent guest service by ensuring that all tableware, chinaware, cooking utensils and equipment are sanitary and clean, are available when requested, and are stored in an organised fashion. An essential part of the role will involve protecting guest health by ensuring that all kitchen work areas are kept in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. You may be asked to assist the chefs with food preparation at times.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen. We are looking for individuals who are adaptable, organised and punctual, and have the ability to stand for long periods of time. You must have the ability to work around, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Experience:

Kitchen Porter: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
