We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable

Cafe Assistants

to join us for the Autumn/Christmas season at our popular Tea Rooms at Brecon Mountain Railway.

What you'll be doing:

Giving our customers a warm welcome and excellent service Taking orders, handling payments, and serving delicious food and drinks Preparing food and hot beverages to a high standard Keeping the cafe clean, tidy, and running smoothly Following food hygiene and safety guidelines Working closely with the rest of the team to deliver a great visitor experience

What we're looking for:

A friendly attitude and a passion for great customer service Experience in a cafe, customer service, or hospitality role is required Barista skills or food preparation experience would be especially welcome! Good time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is helpful, but full training will be provided if needed Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends (rota basis) Work is located at either of our two outlets - at Pant or Pontsticill stations.

The Details:

Daytime hours only -- no evening shifts! We can offer part-time hours to cover our busy periods, or full-time hours if you're looking for more. Seasonal contract running until the end of December 2025. Pay: Meets National Minimum Wage.
