Job Overview

We are seeking a fun, dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Cafe Team Member to join our vibrant team at the picturesque, Dizzy Duck Cafe for the autumn winter season. For the right candidate, seasonal roles can also create long term roles.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the efficient operation of the cafe. You will engage with visitors, assist in food preparation, making bean-to-cup, barista served hot drinks and maintain a clean, well-stocked and welcoming environment. Duties

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces, kitchen, and equipment. Engage with customers to provide a friendly and welcoming experience, taking and serving orders accurately and efficiently. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe setting is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory are required. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks during busy periods. A commitment to food safety standards is essential, ensuring all food is prepared and served safely. Experience in serving customers with a focus on delivering excellent service will be beneficial. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
