Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe/Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience of baking and preparing light meals. The role involves serving customers in both the mill shop and the cafe. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers enjoy a delightful experience when they visit the mill shop and cafe

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.

Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and responding to customer inquiries.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities.

Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.

Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

Skills

Previous experience in catering or retail is highly desirable.

Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of food safety regulations.

Experience in a cafe setting is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.

A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving in a busy environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.41 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
