About us:

We are a young, hardworking and rapidly expanding design and manufacturing company based in Highbridge but trading globally.

Due to being busy over the Christmas period, we're seeking additional support for the team to handle the workload.

We are looking for a creative and innovative junior designer who is skilled in Abdobe Suite and has has experience in graphic design to join our fast-paced team.

Job Summary

The junior designer will liaise with customers electronically, receiving briefings for custom designs or alterations to existing designs and generate proofs for approval to process to the print team for production. The designer will also work jointly with their colleagues on development and designs for the company's online sales platforms.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conceptualisation of design ideas Understand and implement the requirements of multiple projects Design of product presentation for different selling channels and customers Use various techniques to create drafts, models and prototypes Receive briefings for custom designs or alterations to existing designs Refine and adjust images, fonts and general artworks Produce final design solutions Conform with the set-out brand guidelines Collaborate well with both your own and other internal/external teams Have a good understanding of the principles of typography Be passionate about creating stunning visuals Able to work in an agile and fast paced environment Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines Be an excellent communicator

Person Specification:

Experience working with Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Proven experience working in a similar role or design environment Strong proficiency with required desktop publishing tools Experience using Microsoft Office A strong eye for visual composition Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate creative flair Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines with speed and accuracy An excellent team player with a positive attitude A desire to learn and work outside your comfort zone Great at prioritising and managing a diverse workload Passionate about putting the customer needs first - validating data and customer research to back up your design rationale Overtime will be required and some Saturdays in December

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 11 weeks

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
