About the Role
Otter Nurseries Ltd in Lymington is seeking enthusiastic Seasonal Nursery Workers to support our ornamental plant production team during the peak spring season. This role suits someone who enjoys outdoor, hands-on work and has a genuine interest in plants. Full-time or part-time positions are available, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Potting, planting, and transplanting ornamental plants
- Watering, feeding, and general plant maintenance
- Weeding, pruning, and maintaining plant quality
- Preparing orders and organising plant stock
- Assisting with loading/unloading trolleys and deliveries
- Maintaining clean and safe working areas
- Supporting the team with day-to-day nursery tasks
What We're Looking For:
- Enjoys practical outdoor work in all weather
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Able to lift and carry plants and perform repetitive tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Previous nursery or horticulture experience is helpful but not essential--training provided
