At Tomatin, we are more than just another distillery. Since 1897 our people have worked hard to build the Tomatin community that exists today and lies at the heart of everything we do. Many of our employees live on site in the distillery houses. It is more than just a job, it is a way of life. This in turn is reflected in the quality of the different whiskies produced at the distillery; every bottle of whisky we make is distilled with pride.

Once the biggest distillery in Scotland, we were capable of producing 12 million litres every year. We now produce just over 2 million with a focus on quality over quantity. The distillery offers a portfolio of single malt and blended whiskies including the Tomatin single malt, Cu Bocan single malt, The Antiquary premium blended whisky, an array of whisky blends including The Talisman and Big 'T', as well as where it all began, with bulk whisky. We have gone from strength to strength and our whiskies are now sold in over 60 export markets.

We are a busy, high quality visitor attraction with approximately 50,000 visitors per year, offering a range of guided tours and award-winning whiskies.

As the brand continues to grow and during the busy summer months, we need some additional distillery guides. These will be temporary roles for the Summer period with employment starting from March at the earliest but also later in the year. The hours will range from 15 to 37.5 hours a week - 2 to 5 shifts a week, including some weekends. Ideally candidates will be available to work towards the higher end of the hours range.

Job Purpose

To be a brand home representative for Tomatin Distillery Co. Ltd. - the company, the brands and all of its products. To inform and entertain the public during tours, tastings and whilst serving in the shop - delivering a consistently high standard of customer service and ensuring a quality visitor experience at all times. Ensuring that the Visitor Centre and public routes are accessible, well presented, and efficiently organised at all times. Representing the brand at external events and tastings.

This post is based at Tomatin Distillery, IV13 7YT, with limited public transport options. Do you have means of travel to be able to reliably attend this location for your shift? Shift times would be between 9.30am and 6.00pm. Do you enjoy working with people and have an enthusiasm for delivering an outstanding visitor experience within a hospitality and tourism setting? This post can be for 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week - 3 to 5 shifts, including some weekend working.
