Brief Description





We are looking for a proactive and strategic

Seasons Delivery Specialist

to lead the route in all aspects of seasons management and weather-related incidents. This pivotal role involves delivering associated mitigation plans across Network Rail and coordinating the delivery of agreed services to our customers.

About the role (External)





1. Be the single point of contact within the Route both internally and externally for all seasonal and extreme weather management matters.


2. Develop, own and continuously improve the Route Seasonal Plan in conjunction with lead Operators, Operations, Maintenance and Performance teams making use of stage gate reviews to deliver continuous improvement with regards to seasonal and extreme weather management.


3. Manage compliance with regard to all seasonal and extreme weather operational standards and take ownership of all seasonal and extreme weather key performance indicators providing detailed, highly numerate reports and analysis on progress against targets as required.


4. Manage the improvement of the Extreme Weather Response (formerly EWAT) process within the Route so that effective proactive measures are taken in response to extreme weather forecasts.


5. Be the Route client for seasonal treatment fleet liaising with Suppliers, Operators, and other functions so that a robust and comprehensive seasonal treatment programme is specified and ultimately delivered.


6. In the event of a major incident or severe disruption to the service due to weather, liaise with Gold Command to provide regular and accurate weather forecasts to assist the dissemination of information to onward parties.


7. Lead incident reviews relating to seasonal and extreme weather and check that areas of learning are captured and actioned accordingly to prevent or lessen the impact of repeat failure.


8. Manage the Route autumn budget in respect to efficient procurement of goods and services in order to mitigate the safety and performance impact of adhesion.




9. Lead the training and management of autumn controllers on behalf of the Control Manager be the single point of contact within the control environment for adhesion related issues throughout autumn.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications





Essential

Previous successful operational or maintenance experience at area level Able to demonstrate effective communication skills Able to demonstrate quantitative analysis skills Able to demonstrate competent presentation skills Previous successful experience of strategic decision-making Ability to successfully apply project management skills


Desirable

Able to demonstrate an understanding of business and safety case preparation Successful previous experience of managing people (indirectly or directly)
