We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Worker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with experience in food production and preparation. This role involves working collaboratively within a team to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team management
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen workers to optimise workflow and efficiency
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary
Participate in training new staff on kitchen procedures and safety protocols
Contribute to menu planning by providing input based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members and management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
