Job Description

Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen - Plan and create menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences - Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards - Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback - Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Skills: - Culinary expertise: Possess a strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles - Food preparation: Skilled in preparing a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts - Food safety: Familiar with food handling procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment - Food production: Able to efficiently produce high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant setting - Restaurant experience: Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service establishment - Kitchen management: Capable of effectively managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and staff scheduling - Leadership skills: Able to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve excellent results - Supervising: Experience in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to standards and meet performance expectations - Cook: Proficient in cooking techniques, able to prepare dishes to meet customer expectations - Hospitality: A customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide exceptional service This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to showcase their culinary skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. Working on a 4 week planned in advance rota, working alternative shifts to the head chef, usually working alternative weekends. Hours usually 8am- 6pm.

Pay: From 15.00 per hour
