About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Chef to oversee the kitchen operations at the Platinum Skies Salisbury Site, where we have recently won a prestigious retirement home contract. In this role, you will manage all kitchen operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the preparation of nutritious and high-quality meals that meet the needs of our residents. Your responsibilities will include managing food preparation, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, controlling stock, and ensuring the efficient running of the kitchen. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that the site delivers excellent service, exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Oversee the preparation and cooking of meals to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and nutrition.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and health & safety standards.
Manage the ordering, stock control, and inventory, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reducing waste.
Collaborate with the management team to ensure client needs and dietary requirements are met.
Train and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.
Create a positive and supportive working environment, fostering teamwork and high morale.
Key Details:
Hours:
15 hours per week. (Shift pattern, some flexibility will be required)
Pay:
14 per hour.
Location:
Platinum Skies Site, SP2 7EP.
Experience Required:
Previous experience in a chef role is essential, preferably in a contract catering environment.
