We are seeking a skilled Second Fix/Fitting Stairs professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction disciplines and demonstrate proficiency in the installation and finishing of staircases. This role is crucial for ensuring that all second fix elements are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our projects.
Responsibilities
Install and fit staircases, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, and masonry to ensure seamless integration of stair fittings.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute precise installations.
Perform plastering and construction painting as required to achieve a polished finish.
Engage in fabrication tasks related to stair components, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in carpentry or a related field is essential.
Familiarity with roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, masonry, and construction painting is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
