We\'re looking for a Second Line Assurance Analyst to help drive forward our Second Line Assurance Framework within DUAL UK.

The job holder will report to the Second Line Assurance Manager and will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of the Internal Controls team plan, providing insight and assurance over DUAL\xe2\x80\x99s control environment and working with the business to further embed awareness of control activity through strong relationships, challenge and support.

This role includes responsibilities such as undertaking control identification activities including walkthroughs and process mapping across all business areas in accordance with the Internal Controls team plan. Including regular control testing for design effectiveness and operational effectiveness using the Internal Controls team methodology.

The role will work alongside the various DUAL business units, as well as with its more centralised functions. There will also be engagements with other teams and SMEs within the wider Howden Group businesses.

The job holder will need to be able to work well with colleagues across a variety of business areas with the support of the DUAL UK Risk & Compliance team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Second Line Assurance Manager to devise the risk-based Internal Control plan for approval by the Board.
  • Assist in execution of the Internal Control plan, including; planning control reviews, testing controls, analysing results and drawing conclusions.
  • Assist in implementing Second Line Assurance framework to embed a culture of integrity within the business.
  • Collate and analyse risk and controls data to assist in providing full reports of design and operating effectiveness of controls and risk exposures and recommendations for action into various governance forums.
  • Assist the Second Line Assurance Managers in ad hoc projects as per business needs.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
  • Self-motivated to organise and complete assignments on timely manner.
  • Great interpersonal and influencing skills to facilitate working with many different teams within DUAL UK.
  • Ability to organise and analyse data and draw meaningful information.
  • Ability to write coherent and insightful reports.
  • Confidence to make recommendation for improvements in Second Line Assurance activities.
  • Collaborative, cooperative and approachable.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ideal candidates will have achieved a 2:1 undergraduate degree or above.
  • The right candidate will either hold, or want to work towards relevant risk or compliance qualification (such as ICA or IRM)
