Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teaching Assistant to support our teachers and students. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of educational programs, provide one-on-one and small group support, and help create a positive learning environment. The teaching assistant will work closely with teachers to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:



Classroom Support:

Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help. Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring they stay on task.

Student Assistance:

Help students with their assignments and projects. Support students with special educational needs, adapting materials and methods as necessary. Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.

Behavior Management:

Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment. Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher. Address any behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.

Administrative Tasks:

Assist with administrative duties such as taking attendance, grading assignments, and maintaining student records. Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources. Help set up and clean up the classroom before and after lessons.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents. Collaborate with other teaching assistants and support staff to provide comprehensive support to students. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Additional Duties:

Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, and field trips. Provide support during school events and extracurricular activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.

Qualifications:



Education:

A-level qualification or equivalent. Associate's degree or higher in Education or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or training in education or child development.

Experience:

Previous experience working with secondary school students is preferred. Experience in a classroom setting or educational environment is an advantage.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.

Pay: From 97.68 per day

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
