Overview

Rachel S Tutoring provides 1:1 and small group tuition to from primary-age to GCSE pupils in maths and English. All lessons are individually planned and bespoke and tailored towards the needs and interests of each and every pupil. As well as academic progress, Rachel S Tutoring nurtures confidence, resilience and a love of learning. We believe that tutors are more than just educators but advocates and role models that support young people in navigating through their educational journey - whatever ability or background they possess. We also believe that long-term skill comes from positive experiences within the subject which we strive to support.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and academic growth. Collaborate with other educators and staff to share best practices and resources for student success.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children in an educational setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families. Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable. Ability to educate students across various subjects, adapting techniques to meet diverse learning styles. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
