Job Description

We are seeking a part - time Secretary to join our fantastic administration team at our welcoming and supportive GP practice.

We are a friendly, well-established practice with seven doctors (including four partners), an excellent nursing team, and a dedicated administrative staff. We care for 11,200 patients and are proud to be one of the four practices in the Bournemouth Central Primary Care Network. As a training practice, we operate from two premises and are committed to continuous learning and development.

Key Responsibilities



Typing referral letters, reports, and other documents as requested by the Primary Healthcare team Logging and managing referral letters Managing the Choose & Book appointment system: generating, booking, and cancelling appointments; managing worklists Handling telephone enquiries and following up on queries as requested by clinicians Opening and distributing incoming mail in line with practice protocols Processing requests for medical reports from government departments, maintaining records, invoicing, and logging payments Administering petty cash and logging incoming cash and cheques Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of stationery and consumables Providing cover for sickness and annual leave for your counterpart Performing other administrative duties as required to support the smooth running of the practice
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week
