Section Engineer

Opportunity:

The Section Engineer will ensure that above and below ground level a project is undertaken in accordance with the customer's requirements for level and dimension. Experience within the civil engineering industry is essential for this role; highways experience is desirable but not a deal breaker.



Ideally this role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Experience in Highways / Infrastructure projects

Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent) Relevant CSCS Card Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering Hands on approach to the commercial and planning aspects of the project Civil engineering and construction experience Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings Good IT skills and able to work confidently with MS Office and other system applications

About the Water|Highways Team:

Our Water team designs, builds, and maintains vital UK water infrastructure, ensuring secure water supply and wastewater services.





We work with major water companies to create resilient facilities, reduce flood risks, and improve environmental outcomes. Currently, we are involved in the Welsh Water AMP7 and AMP8 frameworks and have secured projects with Wessex Water for the next five years. These long-term framework agreements are part of a national 88 billion investment, requiring a collaborative and agile approach to meet the industry's challenges.



Our Highways team delivers comprehensive services, from major national projects to local schemes, improving road journeys for millions daily.



With expertise in tunnelling, bridges, and more, we provide end-to-end project support, including design, integration, and construction. Current projects include concrete road replacements for National Highways, smart motorway safety enhancements, and widening the A423 for Oxford City Council.
