Lead and manage a digitally enabled, highly regulated manufacturing area producing medical devices. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations by leveraging data analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Role and Responsibilities
Smart Operations Management:
Oversee materials, machines, and manpower using digital dashboards, MRP systems, and real-time analytics to meet production and financial targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Resolve issues swiftly through data-driven root cause analysis and collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
Technology Integration & Best Practices:
Champion the use of available technology and systems (e.g., SAP, Mii, IQS) to enhance operational and quality excellence.
Leadership & Culture:
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability. Lead by example and promote pride in work across teams.
Audit & Compliance Readiness:
Serve as process expert with deep product and regulatory knowledge. Confidently support or lead internal and external audits in designated area (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects. Encourage experimentation and learning from failure to accelerate innovation.
Talent Management:
Demonstrates the ability to inspire and motivate direct reports and team members. Supports and promotes HR policies and activities (attendance policy, code of conduct policy, discipline and performance policy and performance and development reviews). Actively gives and receives constructive and candid feedback on performance. Creates development opportunities for entire team generating a multi-skilled workforce.Holds direct reports and team members responsible for meeting Quality, GMP/CME, Safety and Environmental regulations/standards. Provides regular feedback on achievement to the team and upper management.

Additional Responsibilities
Cover for other Section Leaders and act on behalf of the Operations Manager when required.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths.
NVQ L2 in BIT, NVQ L4 in Management / Graduate or equivalent.
Appropriate work experience in a similar role.
Professional/Technical Experience
People Management.
Working within a highly regulated environment.
Working knowledge and appreciation of H&S regulations.
Computer literacy essential.
Working knowledge of manufacturing principles such as Lean and ISO quality management systems.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday 08:00 hrs - 16:30 hrs
Friday 08:00 hrs - 13:00 hrs
You can flex your contacted working hours by one hour either side of your start and end times in the day should you wish to do so.
Example:
Standard Hours 08:00 - 16:30
Flex Hours 07:00 - 15:30 or 09:00 - 17:30
