About the Role!




As Sector Lead - Construction, you'll spearhead our engagement with the UK construction sector, building relationships with tier-one and major contractors to secure framework and long-term supply agreements. You'll develop a deep understanding of construction market dynamics, legislation, sustainability targets, and major project pipelines, translating this knowledge into tangible business opportunities for Nixon Hire.

Key Responsibilities



Identify and engage with key contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Kier, Galliford Try, Willmott Dixon, Wates, Bouygues, Laing O'Rourke. Understand relevant legislation and frameworks including CDM Regulations, Building Safety Act 2022, and evolving sustainability standards. Develop and execute a sector-specific go-to-market strategy to secure framework and single-contract awards. Track major projects and frameworks to identify early engagement opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Nixon Hire's offering aligns with contractor requirements on cost, compliance, and carbon reduction. Represent Nixon Hire at key industry events such as UK Construction Week, Build UK events, and CECA meetings.

Success Measures



Achievement of annual framework and contract award targets within the UK construction sector. Development of a comprehensive pipeline of tier-one contractor opportunities. Establishment of at least two new framework or preferred supplier agreements with major contractors per year. Delivery of detailed market intelligence reports and strategic insights to inform Nixon Hire's go-to-market plans. Contribution to a 15% year-on-year increase in sector revenue.

About you!




You should have:

3 years' minimum experience in that given sector. Experience liaising with and influencing high level stakeholders and presenting in board meetings to customers. Demonstrates professional standards of behaviours at all times. o Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the relevant sector. Strong understanding of procurement processes, frameworks, and major contractor relationships. Ability to interpret and apply relevant industry legislation, compliance standards, and sustainability requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills at senior levels. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and deliver market-entry and growth plans. Highly self-motivated, commercially astute, and results oriented.
