supporting the UK E-7 programme with some possibility of flexible work arrangements.



Boeing Defence UK Ltd seeks a security professional, with recent practical experience in a high tempo working environment, to join a growing security team in the UK. Forming part of Boeing's Global Security Activity, the BDUK Security team provides the full suite of Government and Corporate security and risk management support and advice to BDUK programmes and functions. As well as executing a wide range of ad hoc security taskings, the successful candidate will provide direct security support and advice to the BDUK business, its functions and programs across all traditional security domains (including cyber/information security).


Reporting directly to the BDUK Security Operations Manager, the appointment will also interact closely with colleagues from Global Security in ensuring Boeing Enterprise security standards are applied consistently across the Europe, Russia/CIS and Americas Region and for providing international surge support in crisis scenarios.



BDUK Security Advisers are expected to work closely with their information security counterparts to deliver an integrated and focused security effect, so a proven track record of collaboration and knowledge in the cyber domain is expected

Position Responsibilities:



Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Respond to and take early action for emergency situations and reports of loss/compromise Conduct periodic reviews and compliance audit of UK Government/MOD accredited facilities Implement UK Government industrial security and contract security procedures. Draft security risk reports for Programme and Board-level review Identify the need for and develop business-focused security policies and supporting procedures and processes Conduct risk, physical and information security assessments, including those for new sites Investigate security breaches and drive their subsequent resolution and reporting Provide security support to new infrastructure tasks including drafting statements of work, compiling operational requirements for security systems and conducting through-life performance audits Facilitate the security aspects of business and emergency preparedness plans and support country crisis coordination activities Contribute to the development and delivery of security learning materials. Identify, analyse and disseminate threat based information Contribute to the planning and event support of activities involving significant BDUK presence (including air shows, conferences and exhibitions) Draft security management plans for programme-based activities. Provide ad hoc security advice and support to the wider Boeing UK business, including its subsidiaries, as required Manage the tactical security requirements for any assigned facilities in conjunction with the Facilities team and on-site contracted services. Represent Boeing at company, government and industry focus and security working groups Prepare BDUK employees for deployment to high threat locations and provide routine travel security support and advice Task and supervise security suppliers (including executive protection, security systems, threat information, technical security counter measures sweeps, and forensic support) Liaise with national law enforcement and security agencies Maintain currency with all Boeing and Host Nation Safety/Security policies and procedures and contribute to the research of specific mitigation strategies on behalf of the BDUK Security Operations Manager

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)




The successful candidate will likely have:

Multi-disciplinary security/ law enforcement/ intelligence/ corporate security background, probably at senior supervisory or management level Demonstrated ability to operate at high tempo with minimum supervision across diverse areas of professional security competence Degree/post graduate level qualification is preferable but not essential

Applicants with recent UK Defence Security experience, particularly cyber/ information security, and/or related qualifications, will be viewed favorably

In addition, the individual will have:

Recent working knowledge of military and/or civilian airfield environments, and relevant regulatory/legislative drivers Experience in applying risk-managed security solutions in a large Corporate or Government organization and preferably a practical understanding of UK Government industrial security requirements Thorough working knowledge of the HMG Security Policy Framework and/or JSP 440 Defence Manual of Security. Experience in the security aspects of trade/export controls would be desirable Practical interview (including statement taking) and report writing skills Experience of Security Audit/Compliance in accordance with ISO or other recognisable standards Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, and be conversant with common Microsoft Office productivity applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc); an ability to brief and convince at senior management/executive level is a key requirement

Work Authorisation:




This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

This is not an Ex Pat position and will be contracted under ILHE arrangements



The post will be office based with some travel within UK (up to 25% distraction) and occasional deployment internationally in support of emergency contingencies as necessary.
