We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems across various platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, system design, and telecommunication infrastructure, alongside practical knowledge of hardware and electrical systems. The Security Engineer will play a vital role in safeguarding organisational assets through the deployment of CCTV, IDS, and other security measures. Responsibilities



Design and develop comprehensive security systems tailored to organisational needs, including CCTV, IDS, and telecommunication networks. Install, configure, and maintain security hardware such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and related electrical components. Analyse schematics and technical drawings to ensure proper integration of security infrastructure with existing systems. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting using hand tools and power tools to resolve hardware or network issues efficiently. Collaborate with construction teams during installation phases to ensure security systems are correctly integrated into new or existing structures. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond promptly to potential threats using IDS tools. Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and maintenance procedures. Stay updated with the latest advancements in security technology and recommend improvements to enhance organisational safety measures.

Qualifications



Proven experience in computer networking, system design, and telecommunication infrastructure. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, and schematics. Practical electrical experience related to security hardware installation and maintenance. Familiarity with CCTV systems, including camera setup, troubleshooting, and optimisation. Knowledge of IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) for network security monitoring. Ability to interpret technical schematics and system diagrams effectively. Experience working within construction environments or on-site installations is desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant certifications in electrical work, networking, or security systems are advantageous but not essential.
