Job Description

The Security Concierge role is integral to the safe management of our public spaces and will often be the first member of staff that our audiences engage with. The welcome the Concierge provides will set the tone of our customers' experience.

The role involves providing timely and helpful information, guidance and support to visitors and staff while ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment throughout the theatre and its foyer spaces. It requires maintaining a visible security presence to prevent and detect crime, discouraging nuisance behaviour, and responding confidently to any anti?social incidents. The position supports excellent customer service by welcoming guests, directing them around the building, and working closely with the Customer Experience Team to manage public spaces effectively. Duties also include patrolling all areas to safeguard people, property and assets, monitoring venue safety, carrying out locking?up procedures, and assisting with emergency evacuations when required.

This security role requires strong communication skills, proven experience in a customer-focused environment, and essential qualifications including a valid SIA Door Supervisor badge and a standard DBS check. Ideally, candidates will also bring additional strengths such as holding a Personal Licence, first aid training, proficiency in British Sign Language, and knowledge of fire evacuation procedures and protocols.
