Description
On behalf of our private client, we are looking for a Security Driver to work between Weybridge and London.
The Security Driver provides safe, reliable, and discreet transportation for the Principal and family members, ensuring their security, privacy, and comfort at all times. The role combines advanced driving expertise with professional close protection awareness, ensuring that all movements are conducted efficiently and with the highest standards of safety and discretion.
This position demands vigilance, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times. The Security Driver will work collaboratively with other members of the Private Office and household team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and support across residences, business commitments, and travel schedules.
Working days: Ether Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday
Working hours: 9am - 6pm with flexibility when the principals travel (late /early airport runs)
General Responsibilities

  • Driving & Transport Logistics
  • Provide secure, timely, and professional chauffeuring services for the Principal, family members, and guests.
  • Plan optimal routes in advance, taking into account security considerations, traffic conditions, and weather.
  • Maintain flexibility for last-minute schedule changes or unexpected requirements.
  • Conduct vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure safety, cleanliness, and readiness.
  • Liaise with household and office staff to coordinate travel logistics, including airport transfers, meetings, and events.
Security & Safety
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and potential risks during all movements.
  • Ensure the Principal's personal safety and privacy at all times, exercising sound judgement in sensitive or high-profile situations.
  • Monitor vehicles and premises for potential security concerns; report and act on findings proactively.
  • Work in conjunction with private security personnel and, where appropriate, local authorities.
  • Remain up to date with current security procedures, emergency response protocols, and first-aid training.
  • Vehicle Management
  • Maintain vehicles to the highest standard, including arranging servicing, MOTs, valeting, and detailing.
  • Manage fuel, mileage logs, and maintenance records.
  • Conduct routine mechanical and safety inspections to ensure reliability.
  • Handle all relevant documentation and insurance renewals as required.
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism
  • Exercise absolute discretion regarding the Principal's movements, activities, and personal information.
  • Present a calm, courteous, and professional demeanour at all times.
  • Maintain a polished personal appearance and appropriate attire suitable for both formal and informal settings.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with household, office, and security teams to ensure smooth coordination of schedules.
  • Support other members of the Private Office with logistics and operations when required.
Skills & Attributes
  • Impeccable driving record and advanced driving qualifications (e.g. RoSPA, IAM, or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong situational awareness and understanding of personal security principles.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Calm and composed under pressure; quick to respond to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Confident using GPS systems and modern communication technology.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a security, close protection, or professional chauffeur role supporting a private household, corporate executive, or high-net-worth family.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive environments.
  • Familiarity with London and Home Counties routes, landmarks, and venues.
Salary: 65K - 85K gross per year depending on skills and experince
Please note: This is a live-out role - no accommodation will be provided whilst you are on shift
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
