PROTECTING THE FUTURE OF JLR

Corporate Security & Business Protection has responsibility for establishing the policies designed to protect Jaguar Land Rover assets. Those assets are defined as people as well as property; tangible or intangible, that the company or an individual owns. In protecting those assets Security and Emergency Operations must be managed effectively; the impact of not doing so can affect sales performance and ultimately the profitability of the Company.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Deliver the Security & Emergency Operations security response capability which includes the protection of people, property, and assets.
  • Deliver the Security & Emergency Operations fire response capability which includes attaining and maintaining competence in: Basic Firefighting, Breathing Apparatus, Road Traffic Collision Rescue, Emergency Fire Appliance Driver, Pump Operator, BA Controller, Command and Control, Fire Investigation.
  • Deliver the Security & Emergency Operations medical response capability which includes attaining and maintaining competence in: First Responder Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC).
  • Deliver the Security & Emergency Operations Environmental response capability which includes attaining and maintaining competence in: Environmental Incident Management and Containment, Hazardous Materials, Dangerous Goods.
  • Maintenance of Skill Requirements aligned to the Records Management Process (RMP) job holders are responsible for maintaining records.
  • To work as an operational team member carrying out preventative work and audits covering all areas of the site.
  • To complete post incident reports and update the incident database.
  • To act in the roll of control room operator.
  • Complete active surveillance operations in support of the security and investigations department.
  • Attend a variety of meetings across the site and liaise with all levels within the business.
  • To carry out specific training requirements essential for the operational duties.
  • Liaise with the rest of the team in order to provide a cohesive approach to the service provision.
  • Communicating at all levels of the business with a Customer Service approach.
  • To respond to emergency incidents as per site and operational protocols.
  • To carry out Hot Work Permit procedures.
  • To adhere to Company policy including those operational procedures outlined within the Standard Operations Policy manuals.
  • To carry out, at various intervals, a number of predetermined tests including sprinkler and fire alarm tests.
  • To respond to and actively be involved in the effective security provision on site.
  • To carry out routine maintenance procedures including equipment maintenance/cleaning schedules.
  • To apply the principles of emergency driver training when responding to emergencies on site.
  • To carry out a number of fire and security related patrols at various times throughout the operational shift.
  • To work as part of the operational team maintaining the fire extinguishers across the site.
  • To carry out various investigations and produce written reports which are legible and accurate.
  • To liaise with a number of external agencies upon request.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
  • Excellent communciation skills - both spoken and written.
  • Used to working in customer facing roles and being able to potray the \xe2\x80\x9cright image\xe2\x80\x9d for both JLR and Corporate Security & Business Protection.
  • Able to advise, negotiate and influence at all levels in both the public and business environment.
  • A good level of IT competence is required in programmes such as Google, MS Office and ability to work with internal software packages.
  • Must hold a Breathing Apparatus qualification underpinned by the National Occupational Standards
  • Must hold a First Reponder Emergency Care (FREC) Level 3 or higher qulaification
