The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures to protect the organisation's assets, personnel, and property. This role involves developing security protocols, managing a team of security personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen understanding of surveillance systems and loss prevention strategies.
Duties
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
Manage the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
Oversee the training and performance of security staff, ensuring they are equipped to handle emergency situations.
Coordinate loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and fraud within the organisation.
Respond promptly to security incidents, conducting investigations as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and security activities.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a security management role or similar position.
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security technologies.
Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. This position requires a proactive approach to security management, ensuring a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
