We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Manager to oversee the safety and security operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing security personnel, implementing surveillance systems, and ensuring loss prevention strategies are effectively executed. This role requires a proactive approach to safeguarding assets, staff, and visitors, maintaining a secure environment at all times.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure efficient coverage across all premises.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols in line with organisational standards.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to monitor premises continuously.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities and address them promptly.
Lead loss prevention initiatives by analysing security data and implementing strategies to minimise theft or damage.
Respond swiftly to security incidents, including emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken in accordance with established procedures.
Organise training programmes for security staff on first aid, emergency response, and surveillance techniques.
Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and investigations for reporting purposes.
Liaise with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to coordinate security efforts.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a security management role or similar position.
Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies.
Certification or training in first aid is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of security personnel.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external agencies.
Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during emergency situations.
