About the role

Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a Security Manager to join our regional team based in the South of EnglandA

What you\'ll be doing

As a Security Manager you will:

  • Be the single point of responsibility for security management protocols and processes, office and site based on a secure project.
  • Be the Principle point of contact for security liaison;
  • Manage the security vetting processes for Balfour Beatty staff and the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with customer security operational requirements and support the project team to manage the programme of works within those requirements.
  • Manage physical and remote project access to ensure sufficiently security cleared resource.
  • Identify solutions to strengthen security process and supports requests for derogations and improvement of timescales.
  • Conduct regular security audits and briefings, both physical and personal, production of reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the drug and alcohol testing programme in conjunction with our Health & Safety Team.
  • Manage the security team and liaison between internal partners such as logistics, production and commercial and externally with client stakeholders.
  • Enforce security policies
  • Create and manage the Security Management Plan
  • Help to build an effective team with an embedded security culture
  • Support the delivery of the product and promote zero harm
  • Provide regular communication with law enforcement
Who we\'re looking for

You will have the following:
  • Possess a current government security clearance level or be able to obtain security clearance
  • Be an excellent communicator ensuring security processes and protocols are applied
  • Current driving licence
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems and motivate others.A
  • The ability to supervise and develop direct reports, prioritising and delegating appropriately and effectively.
  • Maintain a robust security culture across all levels of personnel.
  • A good understanding of GDPR principals, GSC, and application to data sensitivity.
  • Demonstrate proficiency using IT equipment and software, including company communications tools such as e mail, internet and Microsoft suite of products
