Job Description

Purpose of the Role




To assist with the smooth running of the site and to assist with all emergency situations when they occur.


This includes providing visible security cover to the site, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV (by suitably trained and licensed staff) and controlling contractors and deliveries to the site.


Key Responsibilities




To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment. To undertake regular patrols of the site as instructed by the Regional Facilities Manager. To carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by the Regional Facilities Manager. To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the site. To comply with their individual responsibilities to ensure that the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order are complied with, in line with company policy and site procedures. To ensure that the rules & regulations of the site are complied with at all times. Ensure that all incidents are recorded in Incident Log. Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully, to requirements for contractor management and site H&S in line with the company policy and site procedures. Ensure that the site is a safe and pleasant environment. To assist with enquiries from the tenants and visitors, if so required. To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company. In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and a Public Space Surveillance Licence.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience



Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:


Essential:



Experience in the provision of security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public. In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001. Ability to demonstrate good levels of customer service at all times. Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations. Honest and reliable work ethic. Willingness to partake in on-site training for emergency procedures. Excellent Organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to work 1 week roster pattern including nights and weekends. Willingness to undertake additional training and career development. Well presented. Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.

Desirable



Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Basic knowledge of H&S legislation.

Working Hours - 48 hrs per week, Thursday - Friday 1800 - 0600, Saturday - Sunday 1900 - 0700


Salary - 13.85/hr
