Job Overview
Location: Gloucester
Role: Provide security services, including site security, patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and visitor management.
Note: Extended security (DV) clearance is required and must be passed prior to starting the position. This process can take up to 12 months and involves a detailed background check.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Hold a valid SIA Licence
• Be a British citizen
• Have a minimum of 5 years of checkable work history

Key Responsibilities

• Control access for authorised personnel
• Monitor site activity via Access Control System and CCTV
• Conduct patrols and daily alarm system checks
• Respond to alarms and provide visitor reception as needed
• Offer out-of-hours MDL Service Desk support
• Cover for team members and perform random searches
• Deter/detect unauthorised entry and vandalism
• Handle suspect packages per procedures
• Provide security services across two sites
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed
• Be flexible to cover/support absent colleagues

Person Specification

• Previous security experience useful but not essential
• SIA Licence holder and CCTV trained
• Good communication skills and IT literate
• Customer-focused with a commitment to protecting property, people, and assets
• Ability to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators/Service Level Agreement
• Willingness to undertake additional training for continuous self-development
