Security Officer

The successful candidate will be rostered to work set shifts covering, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 7pm - 12am.
The salary for this part time 20hr position is 14,560 per annum.

About the role
To be responsible for providing a professional security service for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and the maximum profit contribution to the hotel.
1. To welcome guests to the hotel, directing and assisting them as required.
2. Assist guests with security related queries, and provide a visible reassuring presence in the hotel.
3. Work closely with reception, housekeeping and management, in relation to hotel security.
4. Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations, following hotel procedures.
5. To assist Concierge in handling, storing and delivering guest luggage to the appropriate destination.
6. Monitor hotel premises through regular patrols.
7. To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
8. Record and report all incidents and any suspicious activity accurately and promptly.
9. To work effectively with colleagues to ensure an harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
10. To maintain the security of guest property and storage areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.
11. To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
13. To ensure that guest concerns, complaints and difficulties are dealt with courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Head Concierge/Duty Manager.
14. Any other duties as required by management.

Required Criteria

• A right to work in the United Kingdom
• Previous experience in security
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent observational skills
• Work well under pressure and be a team player
• Educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent in English and Maths
• Valid SIA Licence
