We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Barry, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel are admitted Conduct regular patrols and inspections to deter and detect suspicious activity Respond swiftly and decisively to alarms and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour Provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining a strong security presence Compose clear, accurate incident reports and maintain detailed security logs Operate security systems and surveillance equipment as required Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and protocols Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance security skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Valid SIA licence First Aid certification Excellent command of English, both written and verbal Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry Right to work in the UK 5-year checkable work history Willingness to undertake fire safety course provided by the company Ability to commute to Bridgend, United Kingdom Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exemplary service Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends Thorough knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures Resilient and decisive nature, with the ability to remain calm under pressure Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment
