We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Barry, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. * Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel are admitted

  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to deter and detect suspicious activity
  • Respond swiftly and decisively to alarms and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour
  • Provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining a strong security presence
  • Compose clear, accurate incident reports and maintain detailed security logs
  • Operate security systems and surveillance equipment as required
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance security skills and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Valid SIA licence
  • First Aid certification
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Willingness to undertake fire safety course provided by the company
  • Ability to commute to Bridgend, United Kingdom
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exemplary service
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Thorough knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
  • Resilient and decisive nature, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment
