Purpose of Role

We have an exciting opportunity at VINCI Facilities for a Security Officer to join our established security team based in Cardiff.

VINCI Facilities requires Security Officers to join our team and provide general manned guarding services at one of our prestigious sites.

This is a key role within our professional Security Team, delivering a proactive, high-quality, customer-focused security service to our client.



Our Security Officers are expected to be flexible and take responsibility for delivering an effective and proactive security service.

Key duties include carrying out detection and prevention activities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors, and contractors, while ensuring the site's security integrity is upheld at all times.

Responsibilities

Maintain the highest level of security by delivering proactive and effective detection and prevention activities, as well as emergency response.
Conduct effective security tasks, including but not limited to:
Internal and external patrolling. Gatehouse duties. Reception and X-ray scanning duties. CCTV monitoring. Control room and key control tasks. Support the Security Supervisory and Management Team by reviewing vulnerabilities and ensuring issues are identified, addressed, or mitigated. Competently operate all security systems to maximise effectiveness.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Exceptional customer service skills. Full five-year checkable employment history. Ability to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) security clearance. Flexibility to meet the requirements of the role. Valid frontline SIA licence (DS or SG). Reliable and punctual. Smart appearance and well-groomed.
