About The Role:




Shift Pattern: Thornton Park operates a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern for both day and night security staff.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, their premises, and the public at Thornton Park. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and excellent communication skills, along with the ability to respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents that may arise.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular

mobile and foot patrols

of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, or unusual activity.

Monitor and control access

for both pedestrians and vehicles, ensuring only authorised personnel are permitted entry. Perform

reception duties

, greeting visitors courteously and managing visitor logs in line with site procedures.

Operate and monitor CCTV and surveillance systems

to maintain oversight of all areas and identify potential risks. Respond promptly to

alarms, emergencies, and incidents

, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure safety. Complete

vacant unit inspections

and report any issues or irregularities immediately. Oversee and assist with

mail and parcel deliveries

, ensuring proper handling and recording. Support and follow

fire alarm and evacuation procedures

, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain a

visible and professional presence

to deter unauthorised activity and reassure clients, staff, and the public. Prepare

detailed and accurate incident reports

, logging all security-related activities and occurrences. Liaise effectively with

emergency services, law enforcement, and other key stakeholders

when required. Deliver

excellent customer service

while upholding all site and company security policies and procedures. Perform any

additional daily duties

as assigned by management.

Requirements:


Proven experience in a

security role

is preferred but not essential. Valid

Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence

. Excellent

observational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

. Strong

written and verbal communication

abilities. Ability to

remain calm and act decisively under pressure

. Good

physical fitness

to effectively perform patrols and respond to incidents.

Flexible availability

, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays. A

professional, customer-focused approach

with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service.
