Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the students and staff at Chichester College. Your responsibilities will include monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and responding to security incidents. If you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the safety of others, we encourage you to apply. We will ensure your safety with high vis vests and up to date body cams. The role includes overnight shift work.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the security of the property

- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance and take appropriate action

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns

- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities

- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

Qualifications:

- GSCEs or equivalent required

- Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of security operations and procedures is a plus

- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset

- Strong observation skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is advantageous
