12.21 per hour

Essential:

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence

As a Security Officer at Derby Magistrates Court, you will help protect staff, visitors, and assets by following the site's Assignment Instructions and maintaining a strong, visible security presence. You'll ensure the smooth running of security operations, deliver excellent service, and support contract performance through accountability and high standards.

Operational Duties

Follow all site Assignment Instructions and stay up to date with any changes Maintain compliance with all policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements Suggest improvements where you see opportunities to enhance service Ensure all required licences (SIA Door Supervisor essential; CCTV PSS desirable) are valid and worn while on duty Work methodically, follow procedures, and maintain a professional approach at all times

Training & Development

Complete all mandatory competency training Embrace ongoing learning to support professional growth Use on-site technology effectively and keep knowledge current Ensure your licence is renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry

Security & Health & Safety

Stay alert to safety risks and report hazards immediately Respond appropriately to threats or changes in the environment Handle challenging situations with calm professionalism Record detailed and accurate reports after incidents Complete scheduled check calls as required and follow emergency procedures
