Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role is vital in preventing loss, managing emergencies, and upholding safety protocols across our facility. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR.

Duties

Monitor surveillance systems including CCTV to observe activity and identify potential security threats Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety compliance Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate assistance or escalation as needed Enforce security policies by checking identification and controlling access points Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills to de-escalate disputes Perform loss prevention activities by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities and any security breaches Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve incidents effectively

Experience

Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security preferred Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm systems is advantageous Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to handle conflict management situations with professionalism Experience in loss prevention or retail security is a plus Strong observational skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, visitors, and authorities
