Security Officer
Mitie is looking for a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in a high-paced aviation environment. This is a hands-on role requiring full engagement, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. To be considered for this role you must have a full UK drivers licence and access to your own reliable car. More details will be shared during the interview, but here's what you need to know:
Shift days and times and pay
4 on 4 off night shifts working 19.00-07.00 13.58 per hour paid monthly 20 days annual leave Access to a wide range of benefits from day 1
What You'll Be Doing:
Work alongside colleagues to secure cargo as it arrives into the UK Maintain accurate logs and reports to support investigations and compliance Stay alert to potential threats and act swiftly to minimise disruption
Training & Development
Complete all required training and stay current with changes in legislation Participate in ongoing development to enhance your skills and career progression Ensure timely renewal of your SIA licence (minimum 16 weeks before expiry)
What You'll Need
Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) Previous experience in a security role (aviation or logistics experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and a calm, confident approach SC Clearance desirable (or willingness to undergo vetting) * A proactive mindset and ability to follow procedures precisely
