Job Title: Security Officer - Inverness Castle

Location: Inverness, Scotland

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience.

About the Role:

we are looking for a vigilant and professional Security Officer to join our team at the historic Inverness Castle. Reporting directly to the Castle Security Manager, you will play a key role in safeguarding this iconic site.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and patrol the castle premises to ensure security and prevent unauthorised activities. Offer a welcoming presence to visitors while maintaining a high level of vigilance. Respond to security incidents and emergencies in line with established protocols. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Conduct regular checks of security systems and report any issues.
Work Schedule:

This role follows a four on, four off rotation, providing a balance work-life pattern. Occasional late evening shifts may be required to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

Experience in security or a similar role is preferred. Strong observational and communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle incidents professionally. Valid Door Supervisor SIA licence.
